Our pilot study demonstrates that music therapy before and during PCI can meaningfully reduce postprocedural blood pressure, heart rate, and pain, representing a safe, simple, and cost-effective approach to supporting patient care in the cath lab.
We take pride in the collaborative, patient-focused effort that made this work possible and are deeply grateful to TCT.MD for sharing our findings. We look forward to further exploring how music and potentially virtual reality could continue to improve outcomes after PCI!
