On April 17, Fondazione RIC will take part in an event within the framework of the Fuorisalone, titled “Regenerations: Restorative Personal Oasis.”
The event will be held at the event space of Universal Selecta in Milan, starting at 7:00 PM, followed by a cocktail reception.
A Study on Biophilic Design and Human Physiology
During the event, a scientific study will be presented aimed at evaluating the effects of environments designed according to the principles of biophilia on both physiological and psychological parameters in healthy volunteers.
Participants will be exposed to a multisensory environment, while key health indicators will be monitored, including:
• Blood pressure
• Heart rate
• Oxygen saturation
• Stress levels
• Sleep quality
Scientific Validation of Biophilic Environments
This initiative aligns with the mission of Fondazione RIC to provide scientific validation of the impact of biophilic environments on psychophysical wellbeing, with particular attention to their effects on cardiovascular parameters.
By combining design, environmental psychology, and biomedical monitoring, the project aims to contribute new evidence on how nature-inspired environments may influence human health and wellbeing.
Scientific Contributions from Fondazione RIC
Two presentations connected to the foundation will be featured during the event:
• Physical Wellbeing and Scientific Research – Bernardo Cortese, President of the Scientific Committee of Fondazione RIC
• Remote Biomedical Monitoring Systems – Dario Gattuso, Member of the Scientific Committee of Fondazione RIC
These contributions will highlight the role of clinical research and digital health technologies in advancing the understanding of how innovative environments can support cardiovascular health and overall wellbeing.
