DCB Academy at the XXIX Warsaw Course on Cardiovascular Interventions, hosted by the Polish Cardiac Society – A Moment of Transformation in Cardiovascular Care!

At DCB Academy, we had the privilege of leading a transformative session in collaboration with the Working Group of the Association of Cardiovascular Interventions of the Polish Cardiac Society. The spotlight was on Drug-Coated Balloons (DCB) and their pivotal role in reshaping the landscape of cardiovascular interventions. With contributions from world-renowned experts, including Prof. Bernardo Cortese, President of DCB Academy and Director and Professor of Medicine, Cleveland University Hospital, and Prof. Michał Hawranek, Prof. Zenon Huczek, as well as our DCB Academy fellows and members Dr. Wojciech Wańha, Dr. Sylwia Iwańczyk whose immense efforts and support were instrumental in organizing this session, along with the insightful presentations of Dr. Filippo Luca Gurgoglione, and Dr. Jasim Hasan, we delved into cutting-edge clinical evidence that is transforming patient outcomes and pushing the boundaries of innovation. A special thank you to the PolishCardiacSociety, our esteemed faculty, and all the participants whose insights and passion made this session truly exceptional. Together, we are accelerating progress in cardiovascular care!



DCB Academy at the XXIX Warsaw Course on Cardiovascular Interventions

We are pleased to announce that DCB Academy, in collaboration with the working group “Modern Technologies of Drug-Eluting Stents and Drug-Coated Balloons” of the Association of Cardiovascular Interventions of the Polish Cardiac Society, will be hosting an influential session at the XXIX Warsaw Course on Cardiovascular Interventions.

Prof. Cortese’s expert insights demonstrated the latest advancements in cardiovascular care, offering valuable, real-time guidance on complex clinical decision-making. Trial Presentation at DEBS Congress 2025

At the DEBS Congress 2025, the largest congress in Europe dedicated to Drug-Coated Balloons (DCBs), DCB Academy and Fondazione RIC presented their latest clinical trial findings. This presentation highlighted groundbreaking research and innovative approaches in DCB technology, further advancing the field of cardiovascular interventions. The session sparked insightful discussions and reinforced the commitment to improving patient outcomes through cutting-edge treatments and collaboration in the cardiovascular community.

DCB Academy, in collaboration with University Hospitals Cleveland and led by Prof. Bernardo Cortese, proudly participated in CRT Washington 2025. Leading the Charge with Drug-Coated Balloon Technology

DCB Academy proudly participated in the DEBS Congress 2025, Europe’s largest event dedicated to DCB technology. Among the many outstanding contributions, our fellow Dr.Filippo Luca Gurgoglione presented a compelling case on the use of Drug-Coated Balloons in complex lesions. The session was expertly moderated by Dr. Wojciech Wanha from DCB Academy, who guided the discussion with valuable insights and expertise. At JIMGISE 2025, prof. Bernardo Cortese, delivered a compelling presentation on Bifurcation with DCB, providing invaluable insights into one of the most intricate areas of interventional cardiology. His session highlighted cutting-edge techniques and their real-world applications, further advancing the field. In addition to his presentation, Prof. Cortese served as a distinguished panelist, contributing his expertise across multiple high-level discussions. His perspectives on device selection, procedural strategies, and clinical advancements reinforced his leadership in shaping the future of interventional cardiology.



Leading the Discussion on Advanced Lesion Preparation

DCB Academy proudly participated in the DEBS Congress 2025, the largest congress in Europe dedicated to DCB technology. Among the many key contributions, our fellow, Dr Leontin Lazar presented a highly impactful case on “Drug-Coated Balloons in CHIP Patients Lesion Preparation: Do It and Do It Hard!. Dr. Lazar’s presentation underscored the critical importance of thorough lesion preparation in CHIP patients, highlighting the transformative potential of drug-coated balloons in improving procedural outcomes. His expertise reinforced how proper lesion preparation can optimize results for these high-risk patient populations.
